Smackin Macks in Alexandria

All around terrible experience. The slaw smelled sour. The kitchen crew were not wearing gloves and one was even coughing and sneezing around the food. The restrooms were disgusting. I tried to talk to the person at the counter about the issue, yet they appeared to care less.

Say on the real them people can cook over there great customer service

This was our first time here and we will be back for sure. The catfish was so tender and flakey and the coleslaw was very fresh and not too heavy on the dressing. Great customer service also. The interior decorating is very eye catching and I wanted to bring home the cow painting

Terrible. Fish were soggy, and tasted as if the grease had not been changed in ages. Fries were cold and old. Horrible attitudes of employees. Do not recommend.

Fast service and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly! Great experience. Oh and they don't use peanut oil (for those with allergies) they use noon transferable oil.

This is the go to place for good fried fish. I've been all over the state and this tops it all. And the potato salad is a wonderful side to add to that fish plate.

The food is pretty good. Im wierd about how my food is seasoned because my family cooks regularly at home and typically when we eat out the food seems under seasoned but Smackin macks did a pretty good job. Its a quiet setting and very polite employees. I will be returning to try something different.

I have always loved smackin macs the food and the service was as good as always but our hush puppies were cold and hard they tasted like they were yesterday.

Nothing really great about this place other than the prices. Food is okay but not great. The hushpuppies are on point best part of the meal.

Very nice restaurant! The owner, Jamie, is very friendly with customers and the rest of the staff is very nice and attentive as well. The food was delicious! The best fried oysters in Alexandria. I wish we had a Smackin Mack's in Dallas!!

I had a call in order three buggers with everything and add cheese to one, they messed up the hole order one only had met and cheese, one had pickles and onions,and only lettuce and tamoto.buy the met had a good tast and then the price was $25.60

Personally the price for the amount of food you get is a little ridiculous. 6 grilled shrimp and 3 pieces of catfish ran me about 20 dollars. The shrimp while grilled were tough and rubbery and the catfish was mushy instead of crispy like I expected it. Overall there wasn't much that stuck out but it wasn't a horrible place to eat. Also it's the only place I can find corn nuggets.

It was barely ok. Service was relatively fast for making everything fresh. I ordered the boiled shrimp spicy. Some were mild at best. Some so hot I could barely eat them. And that's the ones I could peel because only about half of them were able to be peeled.

We eat here entirely too much. Food is amazing, I love the tarter sauce! Customer service is always spectacular.

Please post ur hours, drove to get some fish and u r closed on Tuesday. Site says open. Please update ur info
